After years inside agencies and working with small businesses, we kept watching the same thing happen: businesses arriving ready to execute, with no clearly defined message underneath. Tactics were sound, but foundations weren't. Campaigns underperformed, and the fix was always the same thing no one had taken the time to do.

So we built Sparked to do exactly that. Messaging first, every time.

The Two People Behind the Work

Based in St. Pete, we built Sparked for the kind of businesses we know best: established, growing, and ready to finally get their marketing foundation right.

Kalynna Head

Kalynna Rudd, Co-Founder and Lead Strategist

Six years inside marketing agencies will teach you a lot about what doesn't work. Kalynna started as a web designer, moved into account strategy, and eventually ran a team as marketing director. She saw the same fracture across agencies: Clients would come in ready to execute, the agency would scope and staff and start checking things off, and the message underneath all of it would get assumed into place. Nobody meant for it to happen, it's just how the model works.

She got tired of watching good businesses run hard in the wrong direction. So she started paying closer attention to the pattern — what was actually breaking, and why — and eventually built a framework around it. That framework is the core of everything Sparked does, because when the message is right, the right people finally pay attention.

Jordan Head

Jordan Rudd, Co-Founder and Director of Business Development

Jordan spent over a decade in business operations and development building real relationships with small business owners — the kind where people tell you how the business actually works and not how it looks from the outside. He understood the weight these businesses were carrying long before most people could see what was breaking down underneath it.

That's exactly why he started Sparked. Not to serve small businesses within a system that wasn't built for them, but to actually help them. Jordan's approach is deeply rooted in collaboration and transparency, and clients consistently say working with Jordan feels like having a partner in the room.
